Getting started

Lucevault is a grid of your day. Each slot is a block of time — 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. You can start with an empty grid.

You cannot fill slots without activities. Add at least one activity in the Library first. Primary activity is required. Until a primary is chosen, nothing gets logged.

This page is for desktop.

What you put on a slot

An activity is a thing you do — work, sleep, commute, run. You add your own.

Three fields can sit on a slot:

  • Primary activity (required) — the main thing that time was. This is “where the time went.”
  • Secondary (optional) — something else in the same slot. A commute and a podcast. It does not replace primary.
  • Dimensions (optional) — extra detail you add yourself, like who you were with, where you were, or mood. Nothing is set up for you. If you leave a dimension blank, it just means you didn’t say.

Empty slots and filled slots take the same three fields. You can put time down, and you can change time that’s already there. Both Paint and Select can do either. They just work differently.

Paint

Nothing is highlighted. The panel on the right is the brush (the three fields above). No primary means dragging does nothing.

Click or drag. Empty slots get that primary. Slots that already have something get replaced. After you paint, nothing stays highlighted.

Eraser, eyedropper, and presets are on Paint.

Select

A slot is always highlighted. When you switch to select, the top-left slot is selected by default. Escape does not clear it. There is no brush.

Click a slot, or click and drag several. The highlight is what you are about to change.

The panel shows primary, secondary, and dimensions of the highlight. Change one field and only that field updates on every highlighted slot. If a field has more than one value, it shows mixed. If the highlight is empty and you set a primary, those slots get filled. If they already have something, set primary and only primary updates.

Copy, paste, undo, and keys are on Select.
